ChildFund Kiribati delivered a comprehensive COVID-19 Child Protection Workshop to Betio Community Leaders.

Over four full-days, the ChildFund team delivered the workshop to government representatives, preschool teachers, community, and church leaders that explored ways children and vulnerable groups can be kept safe during emergencies, including the COVID-19.

ChildFund provided specialist Child Protection training and resources to support improved child protection systems and processes in our country, especially during the pandemic.

This workshop was extremely successful due to the active participation, rich discussions, and expertise from MWYSSA, Assistant Social Welfare Officer, Betio Town Council (BTC), and the Community Police.  ChildFund is very grateful for the valuable support from these agencies because we recognize that we all must work together to keep children safe and protected.

ChildFund will be continuing our child protection activities in the coming months.
