First ever Pre-school Choir Competition for Independence Celebration.

Well done to all 26 preschools who competed in the first round of ChildFund's preschool choir celebration. The competition celebrates Kiribati's upcoming Independence Day on July 12.

Preschools from all over South Tarawa and Betio competed in three location-based categories. Ten preschools were selected to compete in the second round which starts next week, four from Betio, three from Bairiki to Bikenibeu, and three from the Causeway to Buota.

 ChildFund says a big thank you to the 43rd National Independence Committee, which is coordinated by the Office of Te Beretitenti, for the invitation to host this first-ever Independence Day preschool choir competition.

 The competition is part of ChildFund's Positive Parenting activities and signifies the importance of participatory opportunities for children in national events while contributing to early childhood development. It is funded by the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
